Raquel Asensio

FOUNDER/ design

Raquel studied Design Engineering and Product Design at Elisava Design School (Barcelona). During her university years, Raquel combined work experiences in consumer goods companies with an ongoing engagement in the Barcelona design scene.

She worked for six years at LEGO as a Concept Designer in various front-end innovation departments, becoming an expert in designing play experiences for children, concept development from ideation and visualization to prototyping. She also became a driver of deep consumer interaction (from research tools to ideas), trend analysis and art direction.

During her time at the design agency IXDS she had the opportunity to work for clients such as BSH, SPIE and RAMBUS; expanding her experience into the new digital landscapes.

Raquel has always been interested in social projects, collaborating as a volunteer for the Red Cross, being part of a Youth Program organized by the EU and joining a postgraduate program in Havana (Cuba) to find solutions for emergency housing.

She has strong visualisation skills and a sense of companionship to inspire positivity in the teams she leads.  She brings the structure of years of user centric methodology and a vital energy to translate findings into innovative real products and services.

As a parallel activity, Raquel illustrates children artwork and prototypes new ideas.
